Easy Chip (“we”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD – Law 13.709/2018). This Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information.

1. Who we are

Easy Chip is a service for reselling eSIMs for travelers, operated on global connectivity provided by international partner carriers.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Data provided by you

• Registration: first name, last name, email, password
• Billing address: address, city, state, zip code, country, phone
• Payment data: processed directly by gateways (Stripe/WooCommerce Payments, PayPal, MercadoPayment) — we do not store card numbers

2.2 Data collected automatically

• IP address, browser type, operating system
• Pages visited, time on page, traffic source
• Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookie Policy)

2.3 eSIM data

• ICCID (chip identifier), installation QR code, activation status, data consumption — synchronized with the connectivity partner for service provision

3. Purposes of processing

We use your data to:

• Process orders and issue eSIMs (legal basis: contract execution)
• Process payments (contract execution)
• Send transactional communications: confirmation, delivery, support (contract execution)
• Provide customer support (contract execution + legitimate interest)
• Improve the website, products, and experience (legitimate interest)
• Send newsletters and marketing communications (only with your consent)
• Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations (compliance with legal obligation)
• Prevent fraud (legitimate interest)

4. Data sharing

We share personal data only with:

• Connectivity partner (international carrier providing the eSIM)
• Payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, MercadoPayment) — to process the transaction
• Email providers (WP Mail SMTP / transactional) — to send messages
• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta Pixel) — only with your consent via cookie banner
• Authorities — when required by law (court order, oversight)

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. International transfer

Some partners and providers are located outside Brazil (USA, Europe). International transfers are made with appropriate safeguards (contracts, standard clauses) in accordance with art. 33 of the LGPD.

6. Data retention

• Active account: as long as you maintain an account with us
• Orders and invoices: 5 years after purchase (tax obligation)
• Marketing data: until you revoke consent
• Logs and IP: 6 months (Civil Framework of the Internet)

7. Your rights (LGPD)

You can, at any time:

• Confirm the existence of processing
• Access your data
• Correct incorrect data
• Anonimize, block, or delete unnecessary data
• Bytability to another provider
• Delete data processed based on consent
• Revoke consent
• Know with whom we share your data

8. Security

We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data: HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords, restricted access, regular backups, firewall, and monitoring. No system is 100% secure, but we constantly work to minimize risks.

9. Minors

Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not intentionally collect data from minors without the consent of their guardians.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email and/or notice on the website. The date of the last update is at the top.
